Towards a Sustainable Society
We are researching thermoelectric power generation using magnetic materials driven by temperature differences. Our goal is to boost power output—currently a limiting factor—to create a novel type of power-generating device and contribute to the field of energy harvesting.
Because the current flows in a direction perpendicular to the temperature gradient, power generation is possible using a uniform film—unlike in the conventional Seebeck effect. Current research focuses on amplifying the small electromotive force generated to enable practical applications.
Magnetic materials generate a thermoelectric voltage due to their intrinsic magnetic fields. We are exploring various materials, driven by the potential to achieve strong effective magnetic fields in topological materials.
